Superwolf at Cropped Out
On the 28th of September, 2013, Matt Sweeney and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy performed their SUPERWOLF record from beginning to end at the Cropped Out music festival in Louisville, KY. Pete Townsend, who played drums on that record, also performed as part of the group, as did recording engineer Paul Oldham and guest organ player Wilder Schwartz. The spoken dialog from the song “Blood Embrace” was performed by Louisville actors Chloe Bell and Ciaran Brown. A good time was had by all, especially during the encore song, “Love in the Hot Afternoon” which Bonny Sweeney learned from their friend and mentor David Ferguson.
